CHOICES FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING A NINE-SESSION COURSE FOR THE WORKPLACE, FAITH CENTER OR HOME
Sample questions
The following are representative of circle questions that may be discussed during the Choices for Sustainable Living course. How would you respond to them? How might you hear and incorporate other peoples' responses into your journey?
- Consider your attitude in purchasing or growing, preparing, and eating food. Are there personal benefits associated with these activities beyond satisfying sustenance needs? If so, how would you describe them?
- Has there been an instance where you've been willing to pay more to buy a product or service from a company that has adopted sustainable practices? If not, can you imagine a situation where that might be the case?
- Do the words thriftiness, frugality, and simplicity invoke positive or negative images for you? Explain.
- Assume you are considering a move into a planned community (co-housing, Eco-village, commune, etc.) and the cost of moving in is not an issue. For you personally what would be the greatest benefit? The greatest hardship?
